BECAUSE I'M WORTH IT In the 70's, Loreal came out with a slogan that personified everything that I believed in. "Because I'm Worth It."It wasn't easy to get to that place, but I worked on it daily, reminding myself I was indeed, "worth it!" Today, 30 some odd years later, this slogan still holds merit and yet sadly, women I work with still struggle to claim their worth. One of the problems with accepting less than what you are worth is that you probably won't do your best work or feel good about yourself, and as time goes on, your creative energies suffer and you become less and less powerful in your own mind. It starts with really believing you are worth it and then having the confidence to walk away from what is not serving you. We have to believe we are worth it and worth receiving happiness, fair pay, a clean house, a nice car, love, flowers, respect, and yes, even expensive hair color or products. "Because I'm worth it" is a powerful statement and truly believing and embracing those words holds the key to your happiness and success.xo, jan@janmccarthywww.janmccarthy.comFor extra reading, see the story behind the slogan below. Very interesting. "L'Oreal's famous slogan, "Because I'm worth it", is doubtless one of the most recognisable, yet most compelling catchphrases in history. As Pascal Beucler, a French brand specialist puts it, “It is neither to please others nor to fit into the mold that I choose the best product for my hair... It’s to please me, to make me feel good."- See more at: http://bellabox.sg/magazine/the-story-behind-the-slogan-because-youre-worth-it/#sthash.j9uZ4oqO.dpuf Jan McCarthyOctober 27, 20151 Comment Facebook0 Twitter LinkedIn0 Reddit Tumblr 0 Likes
