A Fresh Perspective

I have the standard living room set-up with a sofa, two chairs and a coffee table.  I have one regular pillow and a set of matching pillows on the sofa and one pillow on one of the matching chairs.  It’s been that way for a couple of years and I always thought it looked pretty good, (even if it sounds boring on paper).  Cut to two days ago when my daughter came over and in the nicest way possible said, “Mom, you really need to add another matching pillow in the chairs”.  She has impeccable taste and a degree in interior design, so I totally trust her opinion. Besides, it isn’t like it was a big deal to change things around and put two matching pillows in the chairs.  I did it and was surprised at how much better it looked! For two years I lived with something mediocre and couldn’t see a different possibility. Sometimes we just need a fresh perspective.
