Honor and Recognize
“HONOR and RECOGNIZE THOSE THAT HAVE HELPED YOU ON YOUR ENTREPRENEURIAL JOURNEY”
Today is Mother’s Day and although my own mother has passed away, it is only fitting that I remember and honor her, as well as recognize how she helped me on my entrepreneurial journey. My mother, Lynne D Martin was a tower of strength, full of beauty, intelligence, and spark. She was very creative and had a can do attitude. She had drive, determination, and was passionate about many things. There was no problem too big and she showed me that we could get through most any obstacle that stood in our way. If she didn’t know how to do something, she figured it out. She was courageous and brave and smart. She believed in me and taught me I could do anything. She loved quotes just as I do and had a lot of sage wisdom to share. My mother understood the creative artist within us all and wasn’t afraid to think differently or color outside the lines. She was a trailblazer in her own right, stayed true to her passion, loved fiercely and added flair and panache to everything she did. Celebration was important to her, whether it was a special occasion or simply celebrating someone that deserved recognition, and in that vein, I celebrate her and all of you.
Not everyone has a mother that has helped them to capture their entrepreneurial spirit, but, whomever has been there to mentor and help you find your way, it is important to take time to honor, and recognize them for their support and guidance.
