It's Never Easy

It took me forever to get my logo done. But once I had it, I was so happy and couldn’t wait to get business cards done. I searched for the quickest company and settled on one, but when they arrived, it wasn’t what I wanted.

I knew I wanted a really cool card that stood out and was memorable. (Doesn’t everybody?)  Unfortunately, the details weren’t quite so clear. I struggled to come up with a card that didn’t look like everyone else’s. And then ureka hit!  A most brilliant idea. (at least in my mind, it was so fine!”) I would use hang tags and have all my contact information on one side and my elephant logo on the other. Problem solved! Not so quick….., pricing for the cards, once I found a couple of people that would do it, was around $500 to $1200 for 250 -500 cards, because you had to use special printing machines and then hand tie the ribbons on after the printing. Bummer! So I put it off once again!

I was told stamps would look terrible so I definitely didn’t want to go in that direction. But,   then I said to myself, (the old adage that I know I’ve repeated several times a day), “Done is better than perfect.”  So, I decided to ignore those who had an opinion about stamps, invest a little bit of money and get some ink stamps done. I mean, I didn’t have to use them if I didn’t like them. As soon as they were ready, I quickly started stamping up my new cards. AND they were perfect!! In fact, I decided I liked them even better than the fancy, uber expensive creations.
