You Are Only As Good As Your Team

It’s not always easy to run a business. Sometimes we have to rely on others to help us get the job done and they don’t always have the same values or work ethic we do. If they perform poorly or are unreliable, it reflects badly on us. If they are stellar at what they do, it makes us look like heroes. At the end of the day, we are only as good as our team.

This is a natural part of business and the only thing you can do is to try and vet out your people as much as possible. Building a team that understands your business and has the same vision in mind takes time and patience. Don’t be afraid to hire or bring someone on board that is smart or capable.

When you have someone that is not executing your vision, recognize that you may need to    cut ties, change vendors, let them go. It may not be an easy decision, but it may be the only decision.

And if you make a mistake, then do your best to correct the situation. Move on until you have the right people that you can count on, the ones that have your back.
