Tell Your Brain To Take A Hike

We all have those things that we know we need to do, or even want to do, but are stuck in procrastination land and simply can’t move forward.

One of the reasons for that is because our brain is smart and dumb at the same time. The brain loves robotic motion and when it sees we are active, it believes we are making progress.  But the brain doesn’t always know the difference between mindless busy work and productive work. So even though you may be doing something, it isn’t a something that produces any measurable results. And so it goes, working away at nothing, sabotaging our efforts and keeping us from accomplishing our goals unless we teach our brain to think differently and reprogram the responses.

We can start by starting. We can start by being proud of what we have accomplished and taking a moment to feel that feeling. It will help if we are organized and deliberate with our actions. Small changes can lead to more productivity and ultimate success.
