Everybody In The House

Technology has made it possible to work and connect to others from anywhere in the world.  And for the most part, this type of interface has proved to be not only necessary, but also successful. Except when it comes to creative energies creating something or solving problems. There is much to be said for everyone to be in the house when you are starting something and brainstorming ideas, challenging assumptions, or solving problems.

Having someone on Skype and watching the cat walk across the back of the sofa, or having the phone ring, or working on a computer with other distractions filtering in can be disconcerting and interrupt the creative process.  So if you are in the beginning phases of launching a company or solving world problems, think face to face, with the ability to springboard off of each other’s ideas, free of outside distractions, and in an environment that encourages the creative process and out of the box thinking.
