SHED YOUR SKIN

Ok, what the heck? Snakes are absolutely not my thing, (and yes, I know all the great reasons they were put here on this earth) so it was incredibly disconcerting to see this snake skin lying ever so innocently right by my patio and window. To be honest, it took a lot of courage to even snap the picture, but courage is not the business lesson here, (at least not this time).

The business lesson in this post is about letting go. Letting go is hard. But there comes a time when we need to do some shedding (just like the snake) to achieve the results we want.  When a snake sheds its skin, it does so to allow for further growth and to remove parasites that may have attached to their old skin.  The snake serves as a great reminder that when we shed habits or let go of people, products, services, or anything else that is not serving us, it is beneficial to our success.

xo, jan

I apologize if the picture of the snake skin gives you the hebe jeebies. I felt it was important to the post and signified the importance of shedding of the old to make way for the new.
