Establish A Ritual

I almost forgot! Forgot to write my business lesson for today. I would have been so mad at myself! The problem is, I spent the day having fun by painting with a friend, and then was really exhausted because I’ve hurt my foot, (maybe a stress fracture, maybe plantars fascilitis, who knows!) and I’m now resting with it propped up. Not an excuse, just a fact.

But, luckily, I have a few more minutes before the day is over. Which brings me to share that if I had a ritual established for writing my business lessons blog, I probably wouldn’t have almost forgotten! Here’s why, Rituals are powerful because they help bring any behavior into a subconscious, automatic habit. We rarely have to set alarms or remind ourselves to brush our teeth, our hair. We don’t have to remind ourselves to put on socks, tie our shoes, eat our meals, or take our dishes to the kitchen. These are established rituals that allow us to act on automatic pilot. So going forward, after I rest a little bit, I’m going to try and establish a ritual for writing my blog. And you can be sure when I do, you will be the first to know!
