To Business Plan Or Not To Business Plan

Well, of course you should plan your business, and whether you do it on a napkin or go with a full 20-80 page document, it is good to have some kind of idea where you want to go, how you are going to get there, and if it makes any sense to go at all.

A friend of mine recently shared his business plan with me, and I really liked it. His intention was very clear and was created to really give me a visual as to what his business was about, but one of the things I really enjoyed seeing was his mood board. When you read the Business Plan books, they don’t really talk about the slide show, the look book or a mood board, but it is something I wholeheartedly recommend to help you keep the picture firmly implanted in your mind and out in the universe as you move forward.  It is a great way to communicate your idea without all the words and takes it to a different level of understanding for you or the reader.
