Warning Signs

As we were bringing in the pontoon boat to the dock, we had to raise the motor so it wouldn’t get stuck in the rocks, weeds and sandy lake bottom. Just as we neared the dock, a warning light came on signaling we had the motor up too long and it was in danger of burning up the engine.

In business, we may not have a buzzer, but we should have some check points in place that signal us when we are in danger. Take a look at your business and decide how you will know if you are getting in too deep or straying off course. This will help you in the long run, and is a great way to keep your engine (er, business) running effectively.
